Exercise Physiology
Now don’t groan – exercise has a bad reputation because it can be very hard! At CMH, we have a full-service fitness studio staffed by our outstanding certified personal trainers who begin wherever your current fitness level happens to be. The atmosphere is inviting and non-threatening.
We want physical activity/exercise to be fun, motivating and uplifting. Fitness is key to building/maintaining your lean body mass—something that supports your overall metabolism and is necessary for weight maintenance (and avoiding the “yo-yo dieting that many of us are familiar with). During your fitness sessions, we provide the following:
- Education regarding proper exercise techniques so you know the benefits of a particular exercise, how to prevent injury and how to continue your success at home
- Unconventional training techniques to improve core strength and balance
- Functional training concepts to increase the ease of performing everyday tasks
- Methods to increase your strength, flexibility and stamina
We believe that physical activity is critical throughout all phases of weight loss. And, at CMH, we’ll teach you how to enjoy it—just ask any of our successful patients!
